Cascade Clamp - Established in Portland, Oregon in 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company began as a small machine store employing only four individuals. Overall sales for that year totaled 60 thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless-steel pipe fittings, valves and various parts. Through 5 years of operation, the company had stretched to forty employees and their annual sales volume had risen to three hundred thirty thousand dollars. Today, Cascade is amongst the leading international producers in the material handling industry.

Manufacture and design of the company's very first hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive quest of better business possibilities. Over the last 60 years, the material handling trade has matured into a very complex area and Cascade has proudly played a part on this development. Cascade at present continues to develop as the premier provider of forklift attachments and various related items. Throughout the 1950's, Cascade started to make, design, and sell its hydraulic attachments. A brand new facility was constructed in the year 1956, in order to accommodate all plant offices and operations in Portland, Oregon, which remains to be the company's present head office. The business altered its name to Cascade Corporation in 1964. In the year 1965, Cascade went public with an initial offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. Cascade products are manufactured worldwide because of many subsidiary operations. In 1994, a brand new plant was accomplished in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European headquarters. Cascade further expanded their product base in 1996 and 1997 subsequent to buying five corporations, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the international best in forks.
